BMTC has taken measures to control noise and air pollution, now following the traffic rules while parking the buses in the bus stops awareness had been created to the staffs of BMTC at depots by the Concerned Divisional Controllers along with the assistance of traffic police.
For any complaints/ Suggestions against honking, heavy smoke in the buses and Traffic Rules, public can lodge the complaints in BMTC website, www.mybmtc.com. The complaint registered in this web page, is seen on daily basis by one of the officer at BMTC designate, Assistant Traffic Manager (Complaint) Smt Shyamala S.M, Phone No 7760991257 who in turn will sort the complaints and monitors to get the complaints attended by the respective Divisional Controllers / Head of the Depts. Any complaints/information received from the public about the excess emission of smoke in any of the BMTC buses shall be rewarded by Rs.1,000/- cash award after duly verifying the same. BMTC is also having a call centre on 24X7 hrs basis established in the corporate office of BMTC. The call centre toll free No is 1800-425-1663 with 10 lines operated by 10 persons to address the complaints 24x7.
